If you are moving from a current home:
You are always best to get all your paper work for the sale of your current home and the purchase of your new home in order through your broker prior to even listing your home for sale. We have spread sheets that are customized to insure your numbers and all costs are covered. This accounting is vital as there is nothing like finding your dream home and finding out you were not aware of the penalties to break your mortgage and you come up short on cash on closing. You also do not want to come close to over extending your family budget.
